Overview

Once bleeding is controlled and the patient stabilized, injuries still need to be secured, protected, and managed during movement and transport. The TacMed® Control Wrap is designed to make that process faster and more reliable under stress.

Built with Tactical Medical Solutions’ proven “brake” system—also used in their OLAES® and BLAST® bandages—this elastic compression wrap helps prevent accidental unraveling during application, allowing responders to maintain consistent pressure and control even when treating awkward injuries or working at difficult angles.

Available in 4″ and 6″ widths, the Control Wrap provides a simple, durable solution for securing dressings, stabilizing injuries, and maintaining compression in trauma-capable kits.

How It Works

The Control Wrap uses an elastic compression bandage with integrated friction “brakes” positioned along the wrap. These brakes act as grip points during application, helping maintain tension and prevent the roll from unraveling if the bandage is dropped or repositioned.

By maintaining control over the wrap during application, the bandage allows responders to focus on proper pressure and positioning rather than fighting loose material or contaminated dressings.
