Celox™ Rapid Ribbon — 1″ × 5 ft Chitosan Hemostatic Ribbon

Overview
Severe bleeding from penetrating trauma often comes from narrow wound tracks that are difficult to pack effectively with standard-width gauze. In those situations, a narrower hemostatic dressing can make wound packing faster, more controlled, and more efficient. Rapid access to the bleeding source matters, especially when the injury is deep and blood loss is ongoing.

Celox™ Rapid Ribbon is a compact chitosan-impregnated hemostatic ribbon designed specifically for narrow entry wounds. Its 1-inch width makes it easier to insert into wound tracks caused by gunshots, blast fragments, and stab injuries while still providing the hemostatic benefits of Celox Rapid technology.

How It Works
Celox Rapid Ribbon is packed directly into the wound track to place the hemostatic material at the source of bleeding. Once in place, direct pressure is applied to support clot formation and stabilize the dressing.

The narrow 1-inch ribbon format makes insertion easier in wounds where standard-width gauze may be more difficult to place. Like other Celox Rapid products, it is designed to reduce treatment time and minimize required compression time. The dressing is also intended to maintain its volume and adherence to wet tissue during use and transport.

Why This Product
